RMF Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer with electrical consulting engineering experience for its Infrastructure Division in the Raleigh, NC Office. Ideal experience includes designing power systems for complex buildings or central utility plants using Autodesk Revit MEP or AutoCAD.

Position Description:

• Production of electrical power system plans and specifications for the AEC industry
• Power Systems Design for central plants including transformers, switchgear, motor-control centers, variable speed drives, circuiting, etc.
• Emergency Power Systems Design for large back-up diesel generator plants including paralleling gear and controls.
• Medium Voltage analysis (SKM Power Tools) and design for campus power distribution networks including SCADA and Smart Grid systems.
• Construction administration including submittal review, field visits, along with progress documentation.

Position Requirements:

• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience with power systems engineering, design, and equipment
• 0-6 years of experience in power systems drafting, design, and consulting
• Autodesk Revit MEP, and AutoCAD
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• EIT or ability to obtain EIT and Professional Engineering Licensure
