RMF is a specialized MEP Engineering firm which has enjoyed a successful 41-year history.  With 300 employees across 10 offices, our recent growth has resulted in a need for the number of visuals and storytelling assets required to serve our clients. As the demand for high-impact graphics has grown, a need has emerged to add a full-time person to the firm focused on creating these materials for use across the entire practice.

The graphic designer will oversee all design outputs to ensure they adhere to brand standards and will create graphics, visuals, and presentations to set the standard for how we communicate our work to broad audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and create RMF branded graphics, animations, 2D and 3D illustrations, and infographics for use in proposals, reports, presentations, website and social media within established timeframes.
• Collaborate across integrated team of engineers and marketing and business leaders
• Innovation - lead colleagues to think differently and be innovative in what we deliver and how we deliver it.
• Bring to RMF a knowledge of current and emerging technologies for graphic design.
• Understand strategic intent of projects and audience/client goals.
• Discuss technical information with engineers, discern their needs and develop graphic solutions to meet those needs.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within the firm.
• Actively coach and mentor creative talent, helping develop their skills and performance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience leading the production of projects from start to finish.
• Expert level capabilities with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and AfterEffects
• Experience using SketchUp 3D
• Portfolio with demonstrated versatility across all multimedia software
• Excellent storytelling and communications skills with a talent for bringing ideas to life in presentations.
• Strategic, big picture thinking to build and manage a cohesive brand
• A/E/C experience preferred

Measures of Success

1. Establish RMF in the industry as a thought leader in visual storytelling through assets that help explain complex systems and ideas.
2. Improved design consistency across teams producing RMF client deliverables.
3. Develop a library of graphic material that will streamline our teams to produce proposals, presentations, and supporting imagery.
